As I packed up to leave for the weekend and head back to the game I was going to leave you with a good Ohio State video…you know, script Ohio, tradition, honor…all that stuff. However, I didn’t see anything that hasn’t been around and around the web before and nothing seemed to capture the feeling I have this year.
I came across video of the 2006 game and I remembered the energy and the excitement of that game. I saw clips that brought back childhood memories of Woody years and plays that reminded me of the frustration brought on by the dark days of the Cooper era.
But for some reason, nothing seemed to capture the feeling of this year’s game. Then I came across this:
It was two years ago this weekend that Bo died. He left the day before the greatest game in the history of this great rivalry. Hopefully, the coaching staff at Michigan can take a turn from his book and bring their program back to the a team worthy to stand in the shoes in which they now stand.
Because when it comes down to it, as much as I hate Michigan…as much as I enjoyed watching what they all thought would be a sure national championship run come to a screeching halt against Ap State. As much as I enjoyed watching this program completely implode this season, enough is enough.
And why do I feel this way? It isn’t that I’ve been taken over with warm, caring feelings about that school up north. This is about us, the Ohio State Buckeyes. It is about the players. It is about the fans. It is about The Game.
I want Michigan to be the best team in the country. I want ESPN commentators swooning over Michigan during the regular season.
Why?
Because it will feel all that much better when Ohio State kicks their ass and crushes their dreams. There is no joy in beating a team that is expecting to lose. However, crushing a Michigan who thought they were the best…oh…it is an emotion which the medium of this blog cannot express.
So yeah Bo, we do miss you. Down deep we all know that you were one of us. I mean really, everybody knows that Michigan could never field a presence like yours.
GO BUCKS. Have a great weekend.

Very good point. Who wants a limping Wolverine with no chance of survival. Much more fun when its a good game last year and OSU dominates them.
Michigan got p0wned! They’ll suck for years!
