I hate to keep rehashing this stuff. The game’s over and it’s time to move on. I just got this in my in box this morning and it’s just too painful. At the time, the fans in the shoe were waiting for the review which if memory serves, didn’t happen. Why didn’t Tressel call a time out? Remember, this was on fourth down.

I think this would have been worth a time out.
Update: Thanks to Mike for sending the same shot from a different angle. Only makes it worse:

Yeha, you guys got doinked bad. I guess tressel was busy studying his charts or something.
I think he was discussing being a better man with a couple players on the bench, focusing on the more important things in life.
Egregiously Bad Call. Buckeyes way outplayed USC, from my 42 yard line seat!
I thought they did review it and allowed the score. I wouldn’t mattered they would have scored on the next play anyway. I have a question for everyone, what would it take for Tress to be let go?
A loss to Michigan, a loss to a couple mediocre big ten teams. SDon’t get me wron I like Tress but his close to the vest play calling has lost a lot of big game. If not for a lucky call in 02 we would have not won the BCS.
Without a fact check, I’m pretty sure it was fourth and one which means OSU would’ve taken over the ball at the 1.
As I’ve said before, getting rid of Tress would be a huge mistake. Who are you going to get to come take over a program that fires a coach with a winning record like his — John Cooper?
The answer isn’t in firing Tressel. It’s in Tressel turning over the offensive play calling to a top ranked offensive coach. That may or may not be Bollman but I have a feeling, it’s not.
Jim Tressel needs to go back to Highschool football. His conseverative play calling is 1960 style. The LITTLE MAN NEEDSTO GO! a very gutless coach….

gulfport,
That was 4th down — Ohio State should have taken possession of the ball.
Reminds me of the Illinois fumble bumble in 2007 when Mendenhall fumbled into the endzone, but it was not reviewed, and Illinois scored a play or 2 later…and OSU lost 28-21
I have the other angle of this picture:

it’s obvious from both pictures he didn’t score and osu takes over on downs
Thanks for that Mike. I’ll add it above.
Although beating a dead horse, this seems so obvious. Doesn’t Tress have people in the booth watching? Why didn’t he call for the review when the refs didn’t?
