Stephanie Spielman 1967-2009

by Annapolisbuckeye on November 20, 2009

Stephanie Speilman, breast cancer advocate and wife of former Ohio State football stand out Chris Spielmen, died last night in her home of breast cancer. For more then 10 years, Spielman has lead a public fight against the disease and during that time, has raised more then $6.5 million for the Ohio State University’s Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

Along with her husband Chris, she leaves behind four children age 7-14. Our thoughts are with the Spielman’s at this difficult time.

Thanks AB. I saw Stefanie and Chris at DIA on their way to Telluride a year and an half ago and then at the Navy game this year. She was a valiant fighter and a tremendous advocate for breast cancer.

With you and I both having this disease touch our families lives, I appreciate you placing this notice on the blog. I hope all of you whou read this blog will take 10 minutes to make a donation of any amount to the attached links AB has provided.

RIP, Stefanie
