Just a quick note:
So far the the colors are all Scarlet and Gray. Once again, Phoenix is starting to look like Ohio State…West Campus. In Tempe last night, there were a few Florida fans, at least more than Miami brought in ’03 but the Florida crowd was few and far between.
Buckeye events started in Scottsdale at 10:30 this morning and continue throughout the city until late tonight. Yesterday, the town of Buckeye brought out the crowd as we watched Matta’s boys put the hurt on Illinois. Nothing like sitting outside in 70 degree weather watching Buckeye Basketball on the big screen silhouetted by mountains and saguaro cactus.
It also seems that everyone you meet knows somebody who knows somebody you know. The entire event is a little like a convention for everything Ohio State.
