Race Tightens in tBuckeye Blog Pick ‘em

by Annapolisbuckeye on September 19, 2011

Although “TBWMPC” (I’m not typing that out every time) still holds the lead, he slipped in this week’s Pick ‘em contest. Buffalo Buckeye moves into second overall after winning this week’s picks followed by GolfportCarl. The Eggman and I tied for second this week and are tied in the overall for fourth place.

For the record folks, I picked EMU to beat the spread.

And just for the sake of pre-smack, TBWMPC is the only one who picked NIU to beat the spread against Wisconsin. Close Joey. Only 25 more points and you would have had it.

Also, the No. 1 most important rule of tBuckeye Blog Pick ‘em…BEAT THE EGGMAN!! Let’s just say if you haven’t seen him on a victory bender, it’s not a pretty image.

Although it doesn’t cure a Bauserman induced hangover, it’s not too late to get in on the fun. To enter go to:

I swear I had flashbacks of Bellisari Saturday night…and I probably would have taken him watching that debacle unfold before my eyes. The 2 QB system just doesn’t work. I’m not too upset for the loss, but that loss can be hung on the shoulders of the coaching staff just as much as the kids. You just can’t keep juggling these qb’s. Look, Bauserman is as good as he’s ever going to be. What you see is what you get. Miller has a huge upside…if you consider them even, then go with the guy who’s gonna give you the best chance to win. Bauserman is a perpetual back up no matter what…and that’s fine. I don’t think it should be either one of these guys yet…did you forget about Kenny Guiton. He’s pretty slick…After this past weekend, you need to reboot your QB situation. That was terrible to watch. Miami is just not that good..we looked worse that they looked decent. Put a clipboard in Bauserman’s hand and have him signal in the plays. He played baseball so he should be good in this role. Our LB’s are another disaster…tackle someone please.

I agree. This isn’t the kids’ fault. Yes, Bauserman is taking a lot of the heat but neither he nor Miller are in a good situation. For that much, neither is Fickell. Remember, Pryor was supposed to be taking the snaps with Coach Tressel at the helm.

Hopefully, the coaches are getting the message. If they aren’t, I don’t know what it will take.

Hey hey hey

It was legitimate, had it been the Northern Illinois team from years ago that had Michael Turner.

I also correctly picked Navy to beat the spread against South Carolina, so suck it.

Who pick, Navy to beat SC, or Army to win, give me a break.
I agree Jim about Pryer and Tressel, these kids are in a real predicament. For the sake
of the team and the season, Fuckell has to make up his mind real quick. Like I said before
Fickell finds himself in the same position Tressel was with Pryor in the USC game. He chose Pryor
and the rest is history. Fickell has to shit or get off the pot, put Miller in and go with it.

That was… eloquent, Carl.
