It’s official. Ohio State will play Florida in the BCS Championship game. I must say that I am a little disappointed that it wasn’t Michigan. Even though Ohio State beat them once, they are getting a little whiny up in Anne Arbor about muddy playing fields and anything else they can think of for an excuse. A drubbing on a neutral field might be just what they need.
If you watched the BCS Selection show on FOX you could see that the computer polls had Florida and Michigan tied with the same number of points. It was the Harris and Coaches polls that put Florida over the top by only .01 points. (I don’t have much time to write at the moment. I may add links later).
This means that the decision came down to the human factor and the voters (and especially the coaches) didn’t want to see the rematch. I haven’t taken a close look at the votes yet but you know that every vote from anywhere near the SEC went to FL. They are convinced that they have the toughest league in the country and will do anything to maintain that impression.
Hopefully, the Buckeyes can silence that a little on Jan. 8th. I don’t want a close game. I want to see the Bucks destroy Florida. I have never been too fond the Florida schools even though this one does have a former Buckeye at the helm.
