The one thing missing from the Ohio State Men’s Basketball season so far is a big road win against a ranked opponent. Although Illinois isn’t ranked, they are the probably the closest thing to a ranked opponent the Buckeyes will meet on the road until mid-February.
Big Ten player of the week Jared Sullinger is coming off one of his best weeks at Ohio State putting up 47 points and 20 rebounds in his last two outings. No Meyers Leonard of Illinois will try to slow Sullinger and the two should provide an interesting matchup. Buckeyes should win this one but the Illinois home crowd could be a factor.

I think Wisconsin can pull it together before to be a Top 25 team. Either way, a win at the Kohl Center would be great for the program despite teams being able to win there at will this season.
Sully has actually tallied 47 points and 20 rebounds in his last two games against Iowa and Nebraska. Methinks there’s some dyslexia there.
I’ve heard that Illinois’ PG is also out tonight and there’s a little of chatter from the “House of Paign” that they fully expect either a blow out loss or a close call going in our favor because the Big Ten referees are “looking out for their front runners” this season. I’ve never heard such preemptive excuses before in my life.
Hmm..that did come out backward didn’t it.
I would have believed you had you said Dennis Rodman Jr.
Well, wouldn’t you know it, the team shits the bed on the road again. My vote of confidence slipped not only for national championship contenders, but we’re nothing more than another sweet sixteen team with these kind of efforts on the road.
Not to mention, we’re officially in a hole as far as the Big Ten season title goes. Michigan State is red hot and this loss puts a slot behind Illinois. Matta will have this team ready to play Indiana, but his road preparation needs considerably more focus.
I have to admit that I fell asleep on the couch somewhere around half time but how in the world do you let a kid score 43 points on less than 15 shots!? It sounds like he was finding the basket even with Aaron Craft all up in his face. I told my son that I would record it so he could watch so maybe this afternoon I will suffer through it with him — if for no other reason than to see that performance.
No question the Buckeyes are showing all signs of another sweet 16 collapse. Matta’s is saying that this team gets too comfortable. He wasn’t happy with the Iowa win even though the score looked good. Hopefully, he can get this sorted out soon.
Sully is apparently taking a social media vacation. Hopefully he shift his focus to defense now.
Gordon Gee is making a mockery of tOSU. He really should be shown the door…… there is an accumulation effect here.

Gee is good at sticking his foot in his mouth but getting rid of him would be a huge mistake. All you see are the public gaffes. Walk around the Ohio State campus and see what he’s accomplished in the past 10 years and you’ll see what I mean. It is amazing the way the university has grown and prospered under his leadership.
Not only has the university seen extensive growth and development, he has also greatly increased academic standards. He’s probably one of the best university presidents in the country regardless of how at times, and these are his words, he needs to duck tape his foot to the floor.
No homerism on this one. This goes way beyond football.
All I see is fucking construction every day and I’m told it’s an effort to make campus more beautiful…
… and I won’t be around to see it.
