Lloyd Carr Michigan Loss Rose Bowl

You can’t count on Michigan for anything. As Lllllloyd Carr lost his 6th combined Ohio State/Bowl Game in a row, Michigan stepped up and as could be expected, choked.

Let’s face it. Other than a few brief shining moments, Michigan looked sorry on both sides of the ball. Especially in the second half. The USC defense shut down Hart, the offense threw the ball right through the secondary and if I was Chad Henne, I’d slap each and every one of my offensive linemen. When Michigan did get an open receiver, they pretty much forgot how to catch the ball.

By midway through the second half, Herbstreet and company were talking about how the bloggers would be calling for Carr’s job and although I haven’t crossed enemy lines to gloat…yet, they’re right.

An Ohio State/Michigan season comes down to one game. And if you can’t win that one and lose the bowl game as well, 11 wins won’t help you much.
