CSTV.com debuts OSU/Michigan “Battle of the Blogs”

by Annapolisbuckeye on November 13, 2006

CSTV.com will be featuring bloggers from both sides of the great divide in a head to head matchup each night this week. Each night leading into the big game, a blogger from an Ohio State blog (including your’s truly) will take on a blogger from “that school up north” in a debate on a topic of CSTV’s choosing.

Tonight’s debate features Keith Courtier from “The Buckeye Commentary” against David Peobody from “Michigan Against the World.”

Dear lord, will somebody please show me a Michigan fan worthy of my respect!!! I want so badly to have a great rivalry but the Wolverine fans can’t seem to hold up their end of the bargain.

Tonight’s CSTV.com topic was “Which program has the better game day atmosphere?”

Once again, the fans from Michigan have continued to fulfill every stereotype I have of them. While Courtier gets right to the point describing the hole in the ground that is the Big House (he left out those great Michigan cheers, “Down in front” and the horrifying key shaking), he leaves us with,

“Deep down Michigan and its fans ache for what we have.”

Meanwhile, Peobody, (the Michigan fan) gives us an in-depth analysis of his 10 years playing “EA Sports, NCAA Football” and how he could never seem to get the outcome of this weekend’s matchup.

You heard me, ten years playing a video game.

Oh, yeah, he also pointed out the fine dining of Anne Arbor and the beautiful golf course. If only I could find a good restaurant in Columbus or maybe a place to play golf…

But than again, this is game day we’re talking about isn’t it?
