According to Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports, Cleveland State coach Gary Waters had a few things to say about Greg Oden now that he’s sat on the receiving end of the Oden treatment.
According to Goodman, Waters recruited Andrew Bynum of the Lakers when he was at Rutgers and claims he is “light years” ahead of where Bynum was then. Water’s believes that Oden may be one of the best big defensive men in the history of College Basketball and compares him to Patrick Ewing, except that he’s better.
Waters summed it up best saying, “The Big Ten doesn’t realize what they are getting into having to face him.â€
Wow, and he is still playing offense with his left hand. I’m a little concerned as to what full strength may look like.
My recommendation…enjoy the next three and a half months. You may have to go to Charlotte or Memphis to see him play a home game next year.
