It’s official. Terelle Pryor announced today that he is going to Ohio State. After holding up his decision because daddy wanted him to give Penn State a look, in the end it was all Buckeyes.
That should about do it for the preseason rankings. The biggest hurdle standing in the way of a Buckeye #1 ranking next fall is a general sense of amazement from those outside of Buckeye Nation who just can’t stand the fact that the Buckeyes are set and in position for another run at the BCS Championship game. If the Buckeyes can beat USC at USC in the second game of the season, there should be no question about where they belong in the rankings. The best thing Ohio State has going for them in that game is that it doesn’t take place six weeks after the regular season.
As for next year’s team, think this past season’s Buckeyes with Vince Young at the helm.
As good as seeing Pryor come to Ohio State is seeing him not go to Michigan. At one point, the Wolverines had pretty much banked everything on Pyor and they as are about to find out, it can be pretty difficult to run a spread offense without a quarterback. I’m going to love watching Rodriguez fall flat on his face in his opening season.
As for Pryor, he said he felt a little bad for Michigan. The Columbus Dispatch reported today that he told those gathered at today’s announcement, “It makes me feel bad that they had their hopes on me.”
Isn’t that nice…don’t worry Terrelle, those feelings will pass.

AB-I don’t see him as the starter at all next year unless the Boeker goes down with and injury.
Think Tim Tebow? Maybe Pryor can start brushing his teeth with the same paste as Tebow and Barry Bonds?
No, he probably won’t start but a duel quarterback thing…but I won’t make a comparison to Tebow, now matter how accurate.
But again, I can’t wait to see Michigan and their new spread offense.
By the way, USC is not the second game of the season…we added a game, and we play YSU and Ohio before the journey out west.
Boeckman should be benched in favor of Henton unless Tressel has really lost it and is about to get run out of town. Since when does dating one of the coaches daughters give you a free ride? The Boeker throws into quadruple coverage so many times it burns fans eyes on a regular basis.
One of the hardest quarterback to watch on the tube.
I’d hold on a minute RS… Yeah, he made some mistakes last year, but his numbers were impressive to say the least. Don’t underrate experience either hoss. A win at the big-house vs Meatchicken, and a trip to the BCS Championship, albeit sadly another loss, hold major experience points. Some might not like the comparison to TBo but that’s ok, just think Shot Ginn again. Of course Tress had to use the TBo thing, because he is a QB, and Ted wasn’t. I’d look for that kind of arrangement early and often next year. Say, vs SoCal.
I’m with RedNeck. Boeckman stepped up and surprised everyone and Tress talked of a dual qb thing long before the Pryor made a commitment.
However, a two qb program has never worked all that well for OSU. It may look good to start the year but if Pryor proves to be all he’s hyped up to be, I think we’ll see more and more playing time.
