Man it’s been one of those weeks. As Norm would say as he walked into Cheers, “It’s a dog eat dog world and I’m wearing Milk Bone underwear.’

With that in mind, we head to the home turf for this week’s Big Ten Blogger Poll. The questions come to us by way of Buckeye Lane. Be sure to stop by in your Buckeye travels and check him out.

1) With the Big Ten season about to be wrapped up, it is a little easier to predict what Bowl games are possible for your school. Tell me what Bowl games would interest you as a fan. Where do you want to go? More importantly, who do you want to play?

I can’t believe we are on the home stretch of the Big Ten season already. As for the Buckeyes, we are all looking to New Orleans for the BCS National Championship game. Anything else at this point would be a letdown. As for a matchup? Anybody got a coin for me to flip?

Earlier in the season, I thought an Ohio State/Florida rematch was in the making. Florida, however, couldn’t hold up their end of the deal losing two games so far. Say what you will about schedules, and last year’s loss, the Buckeyes are back in the BCS hunt.

Boston College currently sits in the number two spot without too much difficulty left on the schedule. They’ve got Florida St., Maryland, Clemson, and Miami. Of those teams, Clemson is the only ranked team at #25. They could very go the distance but I don’t know what it proves. Yes, Ohio State hasn’t had any outstanding opponents at this point but we are winning big while Boston…not as impressive. If the Buckeyes finish out the season undefeated, there are some style points to gain in the last three weeks.

Next would be LSU. I think that if LSU wins from here out, they will jump ahead of Boston to number two. The SEC championship will count for too much–they’ll get the bump they need. And let’s face it, in the BCS, money talks. You can’t tell me an LSU/Ohio State game won’t generate more interest than a OSU/Boston College game.

The only problem, LSU at home. Penn State was good practice.

I’m not writing off Oregon yet either

That leaves Az State…moving on.

If for some reason, the Buckeyes don’t make the BCS Championship game, I will be in Phoenix for the holiday’s. Sure, Fiesta would be a let down but I have a shot of getting to the game. Besides, are the Buckeyes allowed to play bowl games outside of Phoenix?

2) In honor of Black Shoe Diaries’ question about the Big Ten Moron Coach of the Year Award. Tell me who is the most disappointing player in the Big Ten this season. Also, tell me who is the most disappointing on your team.

Our team? Hmm…I don’t know. I think if anything, there are Buckeyes who have really surprised me this year. Again, I may be looking at the world through scarlet colored glasses but we weren’t expecting to be here at the beginning of the year. The team looks better and better every weekend across the board. I suppose I could pull out the depth chart and bitch somewhere and I’m sure that they are back home in Columbus but why bother. As long as their winning, I’m not one to bitch.

3) Ohio State is rumored to be building a giant buckeye nut outside the football stadium. This will lead to the new tradition of “rubbing the nut.” I’m sure Michigan fans will use that against us. I know it is pretty late to start new traditions in the Big Ten, but pitch me a new tradition idea for your school.

That is a joke right? I’m afraid I’ve spent enough time around the Ohio State Campus to realize that nothing is out of the question.

Ohio State is steeped with tradition. We don’t need to go looking for new ones. However, without a doubt, my favorite Ohio State tradition is something that was instituted by Coach Tressel. That would be the singing of the Carmen Ohio after the game. I can’t think of a better “new” tradition.

I first saw this tradition during the celebration of the Ohio State national championship victory over Miami. I hadn’t been to a game in a long time and I didn’t realize that this tradition had taken hold.

In the middle of the celebration, the excitement, in the middle of the shear ecstasy of the win, suddenly the crowd when quiet and the sounds of our beloved alma mater rose from the field.

It was a moment I will not forget for a long, long time.

You are a big-fight promoter - Talk up your team’s mascot and how/why they could kick the living crap out of any opposing team’s mascot - inspired by Oregon’s mascot

It’s late and I just don’t have the energy. Let me just remind you of how far our little Brutus has come:
